Good things take time. We’ve been working on this project with PALM HIGH for months based around our shared love of vintage military fabrics and the varying shades of olive and charcoal that show beautiful wear. This limited headwear collection of unstructured 6 panel caps is made entirely of Korean War shelter half materials dating back to the 50's sourced in LA from vintage collectors, piece by piece. Each shelter half was then cut by hand in a meticulously slow process to create useable blocks and then pieced together and hand sewn in LA by our friends at our small family partner factory. It is a time consuming process, and a long project start to finish, all to create something beautiful out of weathered fabrics with a deep history.
*No two pieces are alike. Please view the thumbnails to see how different pieces have slightly different shades, hues, and sewn variations due to the vintage nature of the fabric and the different sew lines on the shelter halves.
This sku includes some original snaps (placements vary on each) contained on the ends of the shelter half to attach it to a base.
